Interior design cost in Bangladesh: what decides the price
Six things move the cost of a home, apartment, office or showroom, and how to get a clear estimate in BDT before you commit.
What changes the cost
Space type
A home, an office and a showroom are priced differently. Offices and showrooms usually need more specialised joinery, lighting and finishes than a standard apartment, and each space type has its own rate.
Size of the space
Cost grows with the usable area. Usable area is smaller than the total flat or floor area because walls, structure and circulation are not designed spaces.
Which rooms are included
A master bedroom, kitchen and bathroom carry more fitted work (wardrobes, cabinetry, wet-area finishes) than a balcony or a corridor. Choosing rooms one by one gives a more accurate figure than one price for the whole flat.
Materials and finish grade
Laminate, veneer, solid wood, stone and glass sit at very different price points. The package you choose (Essential, Premium or Luxury) sets the general grade of materials, fittings and detailing.
Custom or ready-made
Built-in furniture made to your plan costs differently from loose furniture bought off the shelf. Both can work, and they are often combined.
Services and site conditions
Electrical, plumbing, false ceilings, air conditioning and any civil changes depend on the building. They are confirmed at a site visit, which is why an online estimate is a range, not a final price.

How much does interior design cost in Bangladesh?
There is no single price. It depends on the type of space, its usable area, the rooms included and the package. The free calculator on this site gives an itemised estimate in BDT for your own space.
Is the online estimate a final price?
No. It is an indicative range. The final price is confirmed in writing after a consultation and a site assessment.
Why is a rate per square foot not enough?
Kitchens, bathrooms and wardrobes need far more fitted work than a living area, so an average rate for the whole flat can be far from the real cost. Estimating room by room is more reliable.
Does the estimate include air conditioning?
Air conditioning is a separate line item you can add or remove in the calculator.
Can I change the package later?
Yes. You can compare Essential, Premium and Luxury on your estimate page and discuss the difference at the consultation.
